GoBet is a free sports prediction game for iOS and Android. Players forecast the results of sporting events, join private leagues with friends and compare their scores in rankings. No real money is involved. GoBet is developed and operated by Azaza ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information GoBet collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and how you can delete it.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you open GoBet, a pseudonymous account is created for you with Firebase Authentication. You do not need to give your name or email to play.
- A unique account identifier generated by Firebase.
- Your player tag (an automatic tag such as gobet_ab12cd, or a tag you choose) and the emoji avatar you select.
- Your email address, only if you choose to link a Google or Apple account (see section 2).
Game content you create. Your match predictions, scores and rankings, the private leagues (groups) you create or join, and the messages and reactions you post in group chats.
Settings and technical data. Your notification and ad preferences, a push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), the app version installed, crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) and app usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase). This technical data can include device model, operating system version and IP address.
Advertising data. GoBet shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device advertising identifier and related data as described in Google's policies. On iOS, personalized ads are shown only if you allow tracking.
2. Google user data (Sign in with Google)
Linking a Google account is optional. It lets you keep your GoBet account and recover it on another device.
What we access. When you choose "Sign in with Google", GoBet requests only the basic sign-in permissions: your email address and your basic Google profile (name and profile photo), which Google provides to Firebase Authentication. GoBet does not request access to your contacts, Gmail, Drive, calendar or any other Google service.
How we use it. Your Google email address is used only to identify your GoBet account, to let you sign in again and to recover your account. We store your email address in your GoBet user profile. Your Google name and photo are kept only in the Firebase Authentication account record and are not shown in the app: other players see your player tag and emoji avatar.
How we share it. We do not sell Google user data. We do not share it with other players, advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use it for advertising. It is processed only by Google Firebase, which hosts our authentication and database on our behalf.
Storage and protection. Google user data is stored in Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore (Google Cloud), encrypted in transit and at rest. Only the GoBet developer has administrative access to it.
Retention and deletion. Google user data is kept while your account exists and is deleted with your account (see section 6). You can also revoke GoBet's access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Limited Use. GoBet's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
3. Sign in with Apple
If you link an Apple account, we receive only your email address, used in the same way as above. If you choose "Hide My Email", we only receive Apple's private relay address.
4. How we use information
- To run the game: record predictions, compute scores and rankings, manage leagues and group chats.
- To send notifications you have enabled, such as prediction deadlines and new chat messages.
- To keep the app working: fix crashes, measure usage and improve features.
- To show ads that keep GoBet free.
- To moderate content and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
5. What other players can see
Other players can see your player tag, your emoji avatar, your scores and rankings, and, inside a league you belong to, your predictions and chat messages. Your email address is never visible to other players.
6. Data retention and account deletion
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings, then Delete account. Your account is immediately signed out, notifications are stopped, and your account is scheduled for deletion. After a 7-day grace period (during which you can ask us to restore it), your profile, email address, predictions, scores, player tag and Firebase Authentication account are permanently deleted, and in any case within 30 days of your request. You can also request deletion of your account or of your chat messages by emailing contact@azaza.fr.
Crash reports and analytics data are kept by Firebase for the retention periods set by Google.
7. Third-party services
GoBet relies on the following services, each with its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, Analytics)
- Google Sign-In
- Google AdMob
- Sign in with Apple
8. User content and moderation
You must not post content in group chats that is abusive, harassing, hateful, obscene, violent, unlawful or that promotes products or services. You can block a player from a league in the app, and report objectionable content to contact@azaza.fr. We remove objectionable content and may suspend the accounts responsible within 24 hours of a report.
9. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we use commercially reasonable means to protect your information.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union under the GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@azaza.fr.
11. Children
GoBet is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
